This program is providing cost effective, environmentally friendly sustainable reforestation and diminishing poverty by creating a locally based economy connected to sustainable forestry.Those who visit the project come away enlightened and excited that this project actually works. Eradicating poverty is an ultimate goal diminishing poverty is an intermediate goal.

Providing an alternative cost effective and environmentally friendly reforestation solution in the Philippines utilizing sustainable development through cooperatives comprising a cottage industry approach to forestry on private land.


COMPANY PROFILE
Ivafms is reforesting privately owned property of Ilin and Ambulong Islands, Mindoro Occidental, Philippines through assistance agreements with the landowners who are devoting at least one hectare of land each to the project.The foundation is registered as a not-for-profit company under Rule 501(c)(3) with the US Internal Revenue Service. It is also registered in the Philippines


THE PEOPLE
Joseph J. Reynolds is the President and CEO and Aldelardo Declito is the Field Operations Officer. Mr. Reynolds is from the U.S. but has a three-generation family history in the Philippines. Mr. Declito is from the Philippines and has learned sustainable forestry while previously working eight years with a Japanese forestry company, three years of which were spent in Japan. Both individuals have vision that reaches several generations into the future and are determined to foster this program to sustain itself indefinitely
